Activation & Strength – A workshop on using isometrics in yoga

Due to the nature of yogic movement we can become stuck in certain patterns by default and may not be aware of some of the “unactivated”
aspects of our practice.
Isometric exercises involve holding static postures, often in a state of tension, in order to more accurately identify, isolate and activate
specific muscles and body parts.
Working mindfully in this way we will be able to identifying “blind spots” in the execution of our asana. This in turn will lead to a more complex and complete expression of each asana as well as greater control and strength.
