Due to the positive response from my previous talk I have been asked back to Fresh Earth Food Store. This time I’ll be talking about “What Meditation Does For Your Mind”.
It has been my experience that many people have heard that meditation and mindfulness are beneficial, but people generally don’t know how exactly it’s beneficial or the processes through which these beneficial changes take place.
Please join me for an open discussion on the mechanisms of meditation & mindfulness (that’s a lot of “m”s) at Fresh Earth on Monday the 16th, from 17:30-18:30.
The talk will cover:
- A basic overview of meditation and mindfulness
- Some of the research on physical changes in the brain as a result of mindfulness practices
- The implications of those changes
- And why meditation “being good for you” is just the beginning of the story
