Meditation for Normal People ;) – Westcliff, November 2020

For the first time since the start of Lockdown in South Africa I will be hosting a live version of the Meditation for Normal People course.
(There will also be a live online broadcast for those who would like to participate from home).
We will be running 2 courses in parallel so that you can either participate on Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Mindfulness and meditation have become popular topics in the last few years and the practices have been introduced everywhere from corporations to schools, all across the world. But mindfulness is more than just stress reduction and a greater ability to focus, and misconceptions and assumptions are common. Meditation for Normal People is a course that is designed to clarify some of the main theories of meditation, debunk common misconceptions and learn how to start your own meditation practice.
The course has been running for more than 5 years and has had over 100 people go through the training. Meditation for Normal People is designed as an introduction to the practical aspects of meditation and mindfulness in daily life. Some of what we will cover includes:
insights from the latest scientific findings
clearing up common misconceptions
instruction into basic meditation and mindfulness practices,
exploration into potential life changes through the application of awareness training.
Sessions will run on:
Saturday mornings 10:00-12:00 – Nov 7, 14, 21;
and/or
Wednesday evenings from 18:00-20:00 – Nov 11, 18, 25
